Nagano City Hall 1 stands on the west side (right), and Nagano City Art Center stands on the east side (left). On the top floor of each building are the assembly hall and the hall finished with aluminum spandrels. In order to reduce the sense of oppression against the street, the eaves height of the third floor is reduced and the volume is divided. The aluminum panels on the exterior walls have a ventilation function.
