TOKYO METROPOLITAN TEIEN ART MUSEUM RESTAURANT
KUME SEKKEI
- Outline
- This project was to reconstruct an existing restaurant due to its aging. The curved roof shape was determined by adjusting the topography of the site, the view from the restaurant, and the sunlight entering the interior. A three-dimensional curved surface was also drawn for the interior ceiling. Wood was chosen as the finishing material because of its connection with the surrounding landscape, and larch, which is easy to process, was selected.
