The new headquarters of Hewlett-Packard Japan, which integrated the company's offices that were dispersed throughout Tokyo. The building consists of eight mid-rise office floors measuring approximately 100m x 55m. Solar radiation is controlled by eaves extending 2,500 to 3,500 mm around the perimeter. The exterior eaves are used as a refreshment balcony, as well as a space for installing air-conditioning equipment and for maintenance. The structural columns are placed in the eaves to create a pillar-less office space inside the building.
